I keep getting a message offering me PSP X3 for $60 whenever I open X2. It claims to be the "fastest version ever". I'm pretty happy with my PSP speed as it is since I bought my new computer, but I wondered if anyone has tried it and if they think it's worth upgrading.
Thanks in advance.

Why dont you download and install the trial version of X3? I have it, but that is for testing purposes of my scripts since i only work with PSP9 (yeah, an oldie).
If you install the trial, make a safe copy of all the PSP folders in My Documents (or wherever the automatic folders are created when you installed your X2). I am not sure if it will affect your folders but i know it over-wrote mine from PSP9. Thank goodness for backups!

Good idea about downloading the trial version.
Sylvie, a lot of the old features are still there, just not on the menu. One of my favorites was the color correction tool where you could change the tint of the photo by selecting both the original color and the desired color (like true white). I found that was the best way to color correct a photo that was too dark or light, so I was disappointed when it wasn't there for X2. I was thrilled when I found it again.
I'm at work, so can't access PSP right now. But when I get home, I can give you the instructions on how to do it, if you want.

Some features were still in X2 but hidden and accessible through the customization; view > customize > then you go in the menu it usually was and you miht find what you were looking for. I dont have all the details (i am work too) but several tools were hidden there but from the customizing view you can grab the icon for that particular tool/effect and drag it onto your menu bar. So it is accessible again, with one click.

I have it and I don't like it. I use x2 and LOVE it. To me it made it harder to navigate through elements or papers ect then regular psp

ONe of the major "visible" difference i find is with the Text tool. Now, instead of typing in a little box, you type directly on the work. It is more logical, but honestly, being used to that Text entry window, writing on the layout feels odd! hehehe
If you are a digiscrapper using PSP, be hopeful. I have been involved in the making of a survey from the Corel company, wanting to know more about digiscrapping with PSP. It was sent to my newsletter subscriber 2 days ago (by request of the Corel staff) and was supposed to be sent by Corel to their customer panel yesterday (so if you are on that panel, check your emails!). Maybe all the suggestions from digiscrappers will be heard.
If you dont have the survey, you can email me your suggestions to improve PSP for digiscrap and i will forward them to the right person there. My email is casselATcreationcasselDOTcom
Dont be shy, be heard! PSP has a lot of potential (and much less expensive than his main competitor and more user-frienly too!)
